No doubt about it , try the fender super champ xd out. It sounds great for playing at home and is light and affordable. I also use or use a bogner duende for that and it sounded great but they are expensive to have for a practice amp.

I'll have to check the Super Champ. GC usually has those.

I always play an un amped electric....have always love that sound

In a way, that's just plain sacrilege.

I'd rather play an acoustic

Living room noodle amp.... makes me want to tear open a Ramen noodle bowl and stick a speaker in it, ala Smokey amp

Apogee Jam, an iPad and some headphones. Keep the peace.

Don't want to use headphones I'm afraid.

Ok so it's looking like Ecstasy half stack it is then……..

If I wasn't in an apartment I would just use my AC30 head and an attenuator but I need a cab for it.

Don't get an Orange Dark Terror, unless you like fizzy gain.

I have been jonesin' for an OR15H lately. Maybe one of those and a multi FX pedal. But it does need an attenuator to get the goods. They come to life when you crank the master.

I keep a microcube next to the couch, unobtrusive and gets the job done.

Yamaha THR10-x is awesome.

Can't fault it for home use at all. records great for demo ideas. Comes bundles with Cubase lite.

Surprisingly good sounds. Especially the Brown II model. Effects are cool too, having them on board I mean, and you can deep edit via THR editor and save edits as presets if needed on the amp.

I'm torn between the THR-10X, the Boss E-band, and a Pod HD500X.

The Yamaha sounds great, is the cheapest, but is not footswitchable and can only serve as a practice amp.

The Boss is amazing with all it's bells and whistles, can record demo ideas, and is a great tool for practicing/leaning new shit, but again it has no footswitching abilities so it's $430 worth of living room toy.

The Pod is the most expensive and is the only one out of the three that has no on board speakers but with headphones or studio monitors it can do about anything. Also I'd be able to incorporate it into my halfstack rig if I wanted or even be a stand alone gigging machine when ran to FOH.

I am going to order the THR10X in a couple of weeks for an Xmas present to myself!!!      I think it is a great little amp!!!

would have been cool to hear some Fight riffs...and seen what settings he used.

That Snott Watt sounds like a killer modern metal amp but I can't find any clips of any Baron amp doing 70's rock/metal which is the majority of what I play. Almost every clip they have is the same high gain tone. Actually I'm not sure why amp makers have 10 video's of their amps doing gain and they are all the same level of saturation. It's like 8 minute amp demo's where they stay on the one tone for 8 minutes….well they might hit the clean channel for 30 seconds then 7min and 30 seconds of the same insano sat tone.

I think I'm leaning towards an OR15H with an attenuator (already have one ) and a 1x12 or 2x12. Really dig the rock tones out of it and it can get pretty metal once you crank the master and don't max the preamp.
