I have an early ESP 90's Horizon with the original Schaller bridge/locking nut which is 10" radius. I'm going to replace the nut and upon measurement the radius is 16" at the first fret/entire fretboard. Would you buy a 16" radius replacement since they are now offered by Schaller? They would've only offered 10" at the time the guitar was made. It plays fine with the original nut but wondering if matching it would make more sense now. Thanks!

Yeah, I would, too, match the radius at the nut. That wasn't an option back when it was made. I'd look at the bridge itself, too, and use some saddle shims to match the radius at that end as well if it's not already matching.

I would match. Makes a huge difference to me.

Gotoh has locking nuts in the 14" range that work pretty well with a 16" radius and are cheaper for those of us in the US. But I have some of the Schaller nuts (at 14" fwiw) and really like them.
