Logic Pro Users: Anyone experience the White Noise Blast of Death?

I'm trying to find time/motivation to get back into recording. I currently have Logic but I've used Cubase in the past and didn't hate it. While attempting to get up to speed I read about instances where users of Logic periodically get raped with a blast of white noise at random times. WTF? Anyone with stories?

some software products will use white noise, audio silence, etc. if it's an unlicensed demo version beyond the trial period.

some do this on a consistent time cycle, others do it randomly.

it may not be logic, but a plugin you're using?
