The Luxxtone definately lives up to the hype. It practically plays itself. I got this from Finnster and the deal went down without a hitch.
The Diavlo surprised the hell out of me. Tight, articulate gain and plenty of it. You can sure tell Mike had his hands on these. For the money, this is hands down the winner in this catagory. The clean is pretty decent and a footswitchable boost too. Very cool.
If the big guys are out if your budget I wouldn't hesitate to grab one of these. Comes with Ruby preamp tubes and JJ EL34L's but will take pretty much any power tube without having to bias. I tried 6550's, KT88's, 6LGC's, and EL34's, all of which were Winged C's and settled with the 6L6's. They just sounded the most balanced in this amp.
