Anyone have some good ideas? I’m in an apartment and have a suuuuper small area for production. Honestly, I might even like something just big enough to use to rest my laptop on. It’s all gotta fit on this rack.

No cab, just the torpedo and Shiva.

Looking to not spend a lot, but also not looking for Berhringer🤣

Hard to say without knowing exact size and budget, but would recommend looking at KRK or Yamaha HS for probably the best entry level stuff. Probably the Yamaha sets are better for rock/metal and the KRKs are a bit more versatile, but not as good as the HS models, imo for guitar based music.

I do have a pair or of older KRK V6’s that are just a little too big for that space.

I saw the HS5’s and they look interesting.

They're pretty decent if they're within your budget. Not that I promote or have experience with them, but have heard people rave about some of the
m-audio stuff, even. Might be worth a try given their price. Some GC have most of these models on display that you can possibly checkout.

I think IK multimedia has a small pair I-Loud. There are a few versions.. i am currently running those beside HS-5's just for variety. You know, for when I am going to write the album of the century rather than writing a few riffs, hating them, then deleting everything. So far 7 years in, I have been NOT very successful :D

HS5 sounds pretty terrible without PEQ set up, I would skip them personally. (I have a set for rear speakers and use PEQ on my processor) There are better options w/o the complication out there like those JBL 305s or Kalis. Kali has an LP-UNF model which is pretty cool and has pretty good reviews, it has BT and PC connectivity too besides balanced TRS.

I’ve heard really good things about the smaller Genelecs, but you might need a small sub to go with them.

Fuck the iLouds, overhyped computer sneakers. The MTMs on the other hand are nice for the footprint.
