I'd PM Terry(Duolos) He will get you a Diezel 2x12... and have you buying a Schmidt before you get off the phone

When we hook up I have a Diezel 2x12 - though I think it's unloaded. So, we could drop some speakers in that you like and you could try it out. I'm almost positive it is rear loaded.

I have an oversize Bogner 2x12 loaded with V30's that I can bring by the shop for you to check out. Also, I have a pair of 8ohm Hellatone 30's (broken in Celestion G12H30's) that I'm selling off. You can always try them out in Dave's Diezel cab and see what you think?

James, I had to do the same when I started gigging again in the past few months. I have a Mustang GT and am lucky my own ass fits in the car (and that will change if I don't cut down on the fries).

I ended up getting a Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12, which fits but still is a bit heavy. I'v heard things about the VHT 2x12 cabs.

meh, I didn't really like my Diezel 4x12 at all. It just didn't fill the room with the big sound I wanted. It was laser-like in it's projection, and not very toneful. WAY too focused. I'm guessing the 2x12 would be even more so.

IMO,

look at the following 2x12's

Emperor (AWESOME, assuming you can deal with the strange, stained look)
Pacific (very hard to find)
Bogner
Avatar (cheap, underrated, sound way above par. you don't feel bad when they get beaten up in your car either. bonus!.)

+1 on Diezel 4x12 laser-like projection. I tried a front load cab, and did not like it for that reason. No experience with their 2x12.

If you want ported I would get a Hermida 212, if not, the Bogner oversized 212. I have never played a Diezel though, so keep that in mind....

Bogner, Mills Acoustic, Stone Age, or Port City! Can't go wrong with any of these imo.

The Port City is a nice big sounding cab but won't keep the low end as tight as a regular closed back. Bogner will do the job. I think the older Diezel cabs were made by the same guy as Bogner but I could be wrong. I call 2x12 shootout!!!
