which firmware? the newest one is supposed to be realer than the ones that were supposed to be the realist.

Actually, the AxeFx shark has been jumped.....Bugera is releasing an amp thats modeling the most used digital AxeFx models. Its available as a head or combo.
You really think Behringer/Bugera having yet another product that is based on some one else's stuff is gonna be the same?

Steve is having some fun Ed, you Germans and your technical thinking need to chill :D

HOw have you been? Have not see ya in awhile.

I've been okay...drove up to Seattle Saturday last week, got there Sunday 4 AM, got up at 8 AM, did 5 14 hour days remodeling my place for my tennant, got done Thursday at midnight, drove back to SoCal at 1:30 in the morning. Arrived to dog emergency. That's over now, so it's time to stick my feet in the pool and beat up and acoustic.
Prior...done some guitar stuff for Pakistani TV, and the occassional Baked Potato thing. Putting the live thing together with Fierabracci and Minnemann. What else...yeah going to India in Fall as faculty at this place www.sam.org.in and play some shows with the other faculties...so Atma Anur on drums and Steve Jenkins on bass. That's about it around here. You?
BTW, just got a couple of DT CDs...love 'em.

Ah.................landlord thang. Hope that works out for you, could be great and could be ya know?

Sorry about the pet drama, just put down one of my favorite cats Butchie due to a tumor that attached to too many things, bad day.

Pakistani tv and India huh? Social networking nut you must be! PIcked up Gilbert's last cd dvd, stupified as always and very hip shit in there to learn. Been listening to Clarke, Miller, and Wooten lately, Miller has the greatest bass tome alive.

Yeah DT, see he is touroing with the axe-fx overseas?

My life is boring, nothing else cool to report :)

I still think the Axe is pretty rad, just not something I need at this time. The effects alone are worth it. I like my actual amps better, thats just me though.

i bought it for live use, and for the fact that i heard the quality of the fxs and the potential in the amps and overall control. the fxs are amazing. amps sound great. having a two space box and multiple high quality virtual pedals/amps/effects/cabs scramble like 5 new york shell games at the touch of a midi button makes one very spoiled live.

have not bitten the redwirez apple yet, and my superchamp, eggie, and carol ann all still have more depth and width and increments of sensitivity and bloom to them, whereas the axe still tends to be more linear and predictable in comparison, but the leap made in the version 9's made the axe way more realistic for me. and if you mess with dynamic envelope or pitch based control of things like amp drive and other linkable pedal and time effects, you can artificially mimic "bloom" in some cool ways.
