Yes, I'm in Tampa temporarily, but live in Plant City. Most got spared, but we're looking at almost a week for electricity out there.

We've had none for 24hours

Sarasota here we lost power Sunday at 7PM just came back on this morning. We have a lot a tree's down and flooding in our area. House made it through fine. Good luck to you.

I've got a cheap ltd electric if you want it? I've also got a little crate combo amp laying around that I never use. Just need an address to send it to.

Sorry to hear that brother. My parents recently moved to Tampa (Largo actually) but they are in Hawaii right now so...

I have a little 1 watt Blackheart amp that is mostly used as a mic stand if you get desperate.

Also, I think you meant 'most got spared'?

That sucks. It's so variable. My workplace in Sarasota barely lost power. When I got home around 4:00 yesterday my home in Tampa had power. There's some mess to clean up but I had brush encroaching my back fence, Irma smashed it all down and left the fence intact. Still hard to find gas. I've got just enough to get home from work today.

Orlando (close to SeaWorld) here. We lost power but it came back on around midnight last night. I just checked my truck where all my live gear is and it also survived. Yesterday I got a call from the power company saying it could be anywhere from hours to days before we get power restored. Cross your fingers!!

Just talked with my Mother a little north of Orlando. No power.

Are you in the Bay? My Family lives in Tampa and they didnt even lose power

Yes, "spared", fixed..

I had some stuff in storage, and the unit took some damage. Lots of stuff ruined, but replaceable. I've been staying in Tampa/Brandon, but live in Plant City. It's country, and the wind and tree damage was pretty extensive. They're estimating restoration of electric to be 9/18!

We just got electric here in Brandon today. It was originally said that 65% of the entire state of Florida lost power at some point. Just in Tampa, there's roughly 250,000 without power at this point. Some areas may not see any for a week!

There was a select few that got lucky, trust me. It's real spotty.

Depending on where they are, and near water, the bay is starting to see storm surge. It was quite wild, Irma sucked water out of the bay on it's journey up the state, and now it's rushing back in and flooding.

In Fort Lauderdale Florida.....zero damage & no loss of electricity. My area has all power cables installed underground. Makes a big difference.......Irma brought lots of heavy wind & rain though for sure....

Dang, that blows. Hope you guys get things back to normal ASAP.

I'm also in Ft Lauderdale (Commercial/Andrews, BYTOR, we'll have to have a drink sometime, man!) I lost power for a day but it came back on right as I took the wood off my windows. Internet is still down.

My sister was in Ocala and had pretty much the same deal, except she didn't lose power. I haven't really seen too many disasters from this hurricane, it was nothing compared to Wilma, that's for sure. We just bought this house 2 months ago, it's the first one I've ever owned, so we were shitting our pants, but I'm quite a bit more confident after I had to secure the house and drill 3" into the cement walls to hang the wood up. Small house, but it's been here since 1956 and hasn't had any damage related to a hurricane in it's history.

Good luck, with everything, man. Hopefully it's not nearly as bad as you're expecting. My dad thought his trailer was going to be a pile of particleboard but it was 100% fine.

My Mom is just North of Daytona and still no power.

Would be cool if maybe we put together a gear fund for musicians in the community that lost stuff.

It's so hit/miss. One block has power, next block over is looking at 9/18 or more. Some yards look good, some like a tornado hit. It's the weirdest, wildest storm I've seen it 25 years in Florida. The Keys are pretty much leveled. We're just now getting power where I live east of here. Cable/internet/Wi-Fi, another story. I'm in the country, old-school electric poles, ain't nothing underground out here. And internet is Comcast. Don't have a choice, no other providers, and their service sucks. Could be Christmas with those fucks.

Any thoughts on trying to help guys? I don't mind asking most of the m.i. companies I work with to make something happen. Might be pretty cool. If we can at least help a few folks soon, it is worth it.
