Lot O' Brown Eyes For Sale

Maybe it's because after years and years of going through amps that the amp whores are finally realizing that they sound the same no matter what they play through. You often can't escape your own voice through the guitar. Now I'm off to check the classifieds to see what's for sale,  ...

Hold on a minute. The move to manufacturing in Los Angeles is so I can make sure every amp is right. I will go through every single amp. We just did a run of 50 pink tacos and I tested and played through every single one. If anything the move means you get a better more consistent product. Nothing has been changed parts wise from the current amp. There is another run of Tacos comming up again I will be testing each one.... The only person that can do it correctly is me. As far a volume yes we will be producing amps in larger numbers so the wait will be less or they will be ready to go on the self. The demand is great. Please feel free to ask any ?s . Dave

Another thing. George is now concentrating on his own amp line. This is what he should be doing. The move was made because there was no way he could keep up with the volume needed and I wanted to have tighter quality control of the product. We will now be building for stock after the current back orders are taken care of.

  Who needs TMZ or crazy reality shows when I can read about Friedman manufacturing. The KS modded Marshall I played was great, so good on Friedman for being successful enough to need to ramp up production.

Never dealt with him, but George seems by all accounts to be a great dude. Hopefully he lands well, too.

Dallas GC has Pink Taco in stock -- played it last weekend.

I don't know what started this but some of the posts certainly made me laugh... At, not with.

By making the move to GC platinum it gives a lot of people a chance to hear the amps that wouldnt normally. We are selecting the the city's that they are in carefully. The Pink Taco being the only one in the mf catalog.

So if George is no longer building them in Michigan, does that mean they are using barrang?

I've heard George no longer builds them & the building is now done by Egnator.

I'm REALLY scared that these models will not be as good as the older models as I am about to get the new 2 channel version of the BE.

Bigger volume = less handle on quality control = a lesser product.
Interesting point. It's can get tricky with high volumes maintaining high quality. I can't imagine Dave having time to go though each one, would be nice though.

I didnt check them before when George was making them and that sometimes was a problem. I know the amp inside and out and i am the one that will check each one now. This makes me happy knowing that each one will be perfect. Oh and also the hand wired amp division is the same guys that have been building 65 amps for years. Very experienced wiring staff.

we use boutique amp distribution to build the amps and Dave personally goes through each one of them.

Now that George is out of the mix, is this going to be the same production and QA model utilized for the CCV MKII, Atomica and Old Bitch?

Sorry the whole first run of the ccv amps mark Cameron tested. As far as the others George tested shipped them.

The BEs that I see for sale are the older ones; not the newer ones with the foot-switchable Clean-BE-HBE , line out, and optional VH voicing switch.

....like mine.
:D

If Dave says the new ones will be as good, if not better than the old BEs with more quality control, then that's good enough for me. I'm ordering mine right away.

The old BE I tried out at Tone Merchants was the best Marshall type amp I've ever played through. VH in a box!!!!!

So shall it be written, so shall it be done ...

Any chance you'll get a BE 100 or a Pink Taco out to the Indianapolis Guitar Center? That's the only realistic way I would have an opportunity to try before buying one.

We don't get a lot of cool amps out here in the middle of the cornfields

Dave, how much longer before we see the SS's shipping out? Thanks in advance.

I know this is 100% true for me.

Like the man himself says (Dave), we will get more amps, quality checked by Dave, and possibly be able to TRY them in stores! Very cool!

PS--the mass produced JCM800's were classics, and I bet Jim Marshall didn't check them all himself!

Your getting yours from Matt's music? Right? Well I know 1 is shipping to him today. Another next week. I believe 1 is yours. These were hand built by me.
