Yeah, I know, it's been this way for awhile. These people are on a different planet.

Satin finish and multiple scratches, and over 4k after taxes easy. This is nuts. I wouldn't pay anything that wasn't well south of $2k. I like these 25" scale SC250's, and people think they're worth $3-4k?

yep - everyone young & old is expecting 100% retail prices both new & used.

Lots of delusional buyers too, thinking their paper route money must be how much it costs.

Nothing new under the sun.

I notice a lot of retarded pricing on used PRS. No one is paying whore house prices for a beat to shit example.
PRS is the brand that supposedly is selling used for a higher percentage of new cost than any other brand i.e they hold their value well. I watched several harder to find high end core and ten top models get snapped up within a couple days on reverb with sane list prices, however, we are still talking about 3.5k-5k used prices. The doctors, dentists, and lawyers still have money to blow, apparently.

I do agree with you though. I've watched one seller at another forum's marketplace listing guitars that are in like new condition, 100% mint. When I calculate his asking price vs a new listing it was coming out to 87%+ vs the cost brand new. I'm sorry but the guy has to be a total moron. You ain't getting that when I can be fully warrantied and have an easy return by shelling out a few hundred more bucks. They were expensive guitars, but c'mon, 90% of new cost for a yamaha? Suck a bug.

I paid half as much for my 10 top with stainless frets. I got a solid deal, sure, but those prices are insane.

i post delusionally cheap prices and still cant get rid of the shit
I had that problem too so I raised the price and my stuff sold.

"Priced so low......it must be somehow.....defective" is the mindset now, apparently.

That's an interesting idea... Gonna give that a shot next time I'm selling anything
The worst that can happen is it doesn't sell. My stuff sat for a couple months, priced below anyone. It wasn't moving so I thought what the hell, and within 2 to 3 weeks of pricing towards the upper end of sanity both guitars sold. The wife has one of her 2k acoustics that has been sitting for a while on ebay listed below the market. I think I'll tell her to change the listing towards the upper end tonight...

That’s what a Gibson did as part of getting out of their 80’s slump. Raised prices and sales increased.
