I'm kicking around a hair brained idea to make a 410 or 210/112 cab and thinking about a lower wattage amp that uses big bottles to go with it. All I can think of off the top of my head is the Marshall Studio series amps.

What other lower watt amps; lets say 25 watts or less, are out there that use El34, 6L6, etc. big bottles?
One more caveat, No high wattage amps with power attenuation or anything like that.

Well, I WAS going to mention the Fireball 25, but it has power scaling.. But, just don't use it, (I never did). It's a little beast.

Power scaling like that is fine. I meant no power scaling as in a 50 or 100 watt using it to go down to 25 or less watts.

I didn't realize the Fireball 25 used 6L6, I thought it was EL84 like my Metalmaster 20

Nope, 6L6. And that amp sounds huge too. Killer amp! The MT-15 is another.

The Soldano's ....... Bogner 3534 .... I think the PRS MT15 also ...

woops ... just saw the 25 watts and under ...

I think the little PRS mark tremonti uses 5881s. never played the amp though

Marshall Origin (20W and 50W) use EL34. I have an Origin 50 head and the 50 combo.

The power scaling works great. I think they sound great, then again I'm not a Marshall purist.

For the 20W amps, not sure how hot the power section gets to drive the tubes? At least the 50 I expect to get them much hotter.

Headstart amps has mods for the Origin and Studio series IIRC. May have some insight on the inner workings.

That's right, the Origin 20 has EL34's. I watched Jason's video on modding the Origin 50 a while back. I forgot he did some videos on the 20 also.

The PRS MT 15 as others said; but they are actually pretty damn loud and seem difficult to get super low vol with a hair trigger master.

The Suhr Badger 30 is a 30 watt amp that uses EL34's.
