Has feedback on two pieces he built, no complaints.

I never feel comfortable doing these deals though even though the guitar may be great, I would google him to see what else comes up.

I know him. He is from my town and a customer of ours. They are pretty nice guitars. When he first started building them he'd bring them in for me to check out...I'd recommend a few things here and there. They got better with each one and he has a good source for wood. Not sure what they are selling for these days and it's been awhile since I've seen one. I'm sure they are nice.

I have a L.P Aaron built a few yrs ago. One piece African Mahogany body w/ a Walnut cap, Walnut striped Maple Neck w/ an Ebony Board- mop traps. The Neck is a long tenon set. Its Flawless, and sounds perfect. The Neck shape is wonderful. The only thing I did change was the Tuners and put pickups in it which at the time Aaron was not putting electronics in his guitars. The only draw is if your not used to Walnut. A huge thumbs up for this builder- Super nice guy also.

Forgot. His woods are some of the best I've ever seen. Super good quality

Wow! The LP clones on his Myspace page look great! Wonder what the prices are like on those babies...

What sort of things are you talking about with regards to Walnut? I've never owned a walnut guitar, though I considered a Carvin once.

May be about 2 yrs ago, I bought mine without any electronics/pots etc for $829.00 with a hard shell case and shipping included strait through eBay without ever talking or emailing Aaron- A leap of faith that I'm glad I took. Its one of my favorite pieces and sounds exceptionally good. Not sure what they are going for now, or even if he still makes the Walnut Caped LP's anymore.

Its poppy and very similar to maple with a strong clear mids- Ahh, the beauty of the American Builder ;)

I've got one of the Lowel LesPauls as well. +10000 to everything Wade (MotorCityPickups) already said. Its an absolutely exceptional playing and sounding guitar. One-piece mahogany back, long tenon maple neck with ebony board and MOP trapezoids. The Walnut adds an aggression to the mids and is warmer sounding than a maple cap would be. Sounds glorious with a MCP 2nd Degree Blackbelt  One of my real favs.

Guy I bought it from only sold it because he was getting Aaron to build him a few more LesPauls.

These pics are from the previous owner. I don't have any pics of my own online. Guitar is shown on page 1 and 2. You'll also find the other Lowels in this guys collection in a few of his other photo albums.

Man, if I didn't have a deal on a killer Caparison in the works, I'd have already hit the buyitnow button on that walnut SG he's got on ebay!

Small name luthiers are always a crapshoot. I have seen guitars from luthiers that have no business building guitars sell for over 700 and a guitar that was better than any master built strat I have played sell for about $500.

These guitars look pretty well built from what I can see but I haven't put my hands on one.

I emailed him, kinda curious about some stuff he's doing, they look fantastic, looks like he builds
2x12 cabs or maybe combo shells too.Looks like quality work in the pics.
