LP+Suhr Aldrich+Elmwood M60=CLIPS!!!

Hey Admiral, Port City is hands down my favorite cab. I AB'd my M90 through my port city OS 4x12 and Recto 4x12 w/v30's and the port city killed it to me anyway. With the port city's design it's tighter and has more bottom than any cab I have owned including the ubercab, but is still not scooped or one directional. Just my .02!!

I need a good 2X12..I'm going to check it out and see if they have an unloaded one...I have a couple of V30's lying around here that I will throw in. I still never tried my M60 with V30's yet. Thats the speaker that everyone says is the bomb for this amp. Time for me to get an empty box!

For the q3, turn the bass cut on and dont leave it set to auto. When you are talking, set it to high. If you are playing at low volumes, set it to high, if at high volumes, set it to low...the auto setting changes as you play sometimes, and you get varying volume levels. I noticed, when I had mine, that you really had to talk loud, and I was straining my voice by the end of some videos, with the gain set to auto...

Also...that amp sounds killer man!!

Thanks man. Well i did another quick one with the Godwoods in drop C with the mike switch on low and with the bass cut on but now I can't hear my self talk! LOL! I see the amp isn't loud enough...I gotta crank the fucker now! But I can hear that it doesn't compress and would sound much better only if I turned the amp up.

Oh yeah, I changed the cab...

At the volumes you are playing here, it might be ok to swith it to high. I would use the low setting when I was really cranking the amp. I had a REALLY hard time getting a balance between my speaking voice and the amp on video with it. What I started doing was starting the video with the switch on high, doing whatever talking I was gonna do, then switching it to low when I was playing, and back to high whenever I would talk. I thought that worked pretty well. But yeah, you gotta have the amp cranked pretty good if you want to use the low setting. I wish it had something that was more like a knob than a switch.

If you are worred about price, check out AB custom audio...SUPER cheap cabs. If not, then the 3 that are on my list of 212 cabs to try are the g-flex, port city, and mills. I absolutely LOVE my buzzbomb, though, so Ill have to wait til I have more money to spend lol.

I'm not really worried about the price but damn those Mills are $$$$$ compared to the others. $490 for a Port city empty 212 and $630 for a Mills empty 212!

It is quite a difference. You can get AB custom audio to make a 212 to whatever dimensions you want for about 155 plus shipping, unloaded...

Port city os 2x12 w/v30's will kill. I like them cause it's ported and the design is different, and yes V30's + Elmo=T-O-N-E
