Lukather/Tubes Talk To Ya Later Axe-Fx Cover

Another of my favorite Lukather solos. Axe-Fx II XL FW18. I am using the same Lukather preset that is already posted on the AxeChange.

Sounds great always dug this tune and played it years ago in one of my cover bands. That preset though, IMO lacks attack on the beginning of the note which to me makes it sound a bit too smooth and lacks initial bite. Just MO though, still sounds great.

Thanks. The funny thing is after my first run through I thought I was getting too much attach and pick chirp so I backed off my right hand for the video....whoops.

You're fueling my axe fx gas! Have you used the ax live much? Do you get the best results with a tube power amp and guitar cab, or solid state power amp and cab, powered monitor etc...?

I haven't used the Axe-Fx II live but I used to use the Ultra all the time with a SS amp and two cabs(either two 2x12"s or two 4x12"s depending on the gig)

Right now I have my XL running into a Mesa 2:100 and a couple of 4x12"s and it sounds great but I also like the way it sounds in my studio monitors. I haven't played live since I moved to the States.
