Ever tried the BKP juggernaut? Great pickup.
Nope, never tried that. I'm leaning more toward the Lundgren because I'm having a custom guitar build and they use Lundgrens mostly.

I've had both in the same guitars:
M6 - it's a little hotter & punchier with a more firm/stiff and aggressive attack under the fingers. There is a little bit of a hollow characteristic to it as well. It has quite a bit of bass. So much so that it can actually get overly boomy in some guitars despite still feeling stiff under the fingers. However, it works exceptionally well with mid focused boosts - it has enough low end that the guitar's signal doesn't get neutered and the stiff attack keeps it from getting mushy. So all in all it's a cool & unique sounding pickup, but is also a little more "particular" and not as versatile in comparison to the Black Heaven imo.
Black Heaven Ceramic - more of a medium output with more give under the fingers. It's still plenty tight and aggressive, though imo. It has noticeably less bass in comparison and has more of a mid & upper mid focus. It's not stuffy in the mids, though, and still has good openness and extension up top. It also boosts well, but depending on the guitar and rest of the signal it can get pretty mid heavy. It's more versatile than the M6 overall, but it still has that modern mid voicing going on.
Can I ask what custom guitar maker did you order from?? Maybe Skervesen??Nope, never tried that. I'm leaning more toward the Lundgren because I'm having a custom guitar build and they use Lundgrens mostly.

They used to have some QC issues iircYup! I submitted a request. Just waiting to hear back
I like Lungrens a lot. Have one Skervesen with The One set and another Skervesen with Black Heavens.Slight necrobump, but stumbled across this searching for something else….
I have had an Alnico Black Heaven in one of my Dunable R2s for about a month or so now and am absolutely smitten by it. To the point that guitar has basically become my defacto #1 as a direct function of that change. The clarity and detail are over the top without being harsh, grating, or thin in any way. Has enough output to give some push to the front end but also cleans up well with the volume knob. In Drop C with decent gain, big chords still retain definition, pick response and dynamics are there….it is just fun to play. And I can’t actually say that I have just had “fun” playing in many years

I love them. I've had a Mayo Duvelle Qatsi as my only guitar the last 7 years, but I like these Skervesen as much if not a tad more TBH. I got one Skerv on a trade and liked it so much grabbed a new one 2 months later from Drop D guitars.
How long ago did you try to custom order one?
Yeah I was communicating with them about 1-2 months ago myself and was interested in an in stock guitar. Their answers were a bit weird, I felt like it was more language barrier because the more I elaborated and kept asking my questions in a different way, the more desirable response I got. But I actually found one I liked more from a dealer here in the States.About 1-2 months ago. They were just super difficult to deal with. I had really simple questions about the ordering process and options but getting them to answer questions was like pulling teeth. But when they did, the answers made no sense. Maybe language barrier, I dunno. They have options on their order form that they don't explain and I asked what they were and they were like... who cares, it doesn't matter, there's no difference between option A and B or C. I was like uhhhh... then why the fuck do you have them as options....
Did you check out Carillion? How do you like your Skervesens? I tried to order a custom build but they were so difficult to even get the order in that I gave up and went with Mayones.
