Solo starts at 1:50. It's nothing too crazy for Lynch but it really seems to add some tension to the tune. I like it anyway.

Yeah, it's ok....fits the song to me...not a solo to write home and tell mom about...but I like it also.

Here is another one off of the new disc. The main riff sounds like Cantrell on Check My Brain but the solo rips. Lead starts at 2:40. I am a fan and I like that GL has added some fire back to his playing. I wish he would have extended some of his leads like he did on Back For The Attack but I will take what I can get.

I can't get this one to embed for some reason.

I did too! That was kind of my reason for posting. He mentioned wanting to pick up the disc when I posted my initial review so I thought I would stoke the fire a bit.

Lynch is my hero....always will be...he is the reason i started playing guitar...i'll never forget buying the Back for the Attack cassette..i was in 7th grade i think....put the tape in...Kiss of Death Intro started and I was floored....BFTA remains in my cd player at all times...listen to it at least 3 or 12 times a week after 20+ years....i like all of his work..some of his new stuff is hit or miss...but I respect the fact that George is doing what George wants to do. I would love to own an ESP Lynch sig model...but...them there fiddles is too pricey...My ESP M-II will have to do

Back in 1983-84 I watched a TV program called Radio 1990, which was a 1 hour show that featured rock videos. I saw Dokken's videos for 'Just Got Lucky' and 'Alone Again'. This immediately got me hooked to Lynch's guitar style and sound. I had previously started playing acoustic guitar in 1984, but he is the main reason I went to electric and have not looked back. Tooth and Nail was my first album to get exposed to George Lynch's unique sound and to me is the sound of Dokken.

Sandman, I was going to suggest that you may want to try building a Lynch replica guitar for less money than a real ESP. I built a Lynch style guitar, but made it more for my own style. I used a beat up Yamaha Pacifica style body to trace a pattern to create from a large 30+ year old piece of mahogany I had, maple strat neck and added Bengal Tiger veneer stripes made from mahogany to the body. I also had some spare parts from previous guitars that I used for the build and installed a Seymour Duncan JB with 500K pot. The guitar screams and although the body is not maple, I can get some Lynch-like character from the guitar.

Here's a pic with the Bengal guitar I built:

I thought the solo was pretty good.. the song wasn't up to par of the solo if you ask me. I find it a strange choice of tone though. For the lead it sounds very mid heavy and not enough cut for my liking. Also surprised Lynch is on this kick of using less gain.

Those look great !!...I have thought of making a replica....right now I have an ESP MII with jb/59 that does my Lynch tones pretty well..love it...i also love my fenders though...i am going to make a replica of lynch's gl-56 strat soon...and one of his sonic blue linhof tele he plays some (try to find out what pups he has if you talk to George at the show) !!....but I would like to have a tiger striped one also...so that is an idea to keep on file !

Can't discount George...he's a master shredder and a cool cat to boot. Met him two times at OC LA NAMM and he was more than welcoming to my questions.

strange enough I realized yesterday while playing my pre production skulls and snakes esp thru my randall lynch box and using the Morley George Lynch Wah that I am a freaking George fanboy! He's been my hero too. I started playing because of KISS but man once dokken hit the scene it was over. I have met him a few times and he has always been a super cool guy as well.

Little chance you'll nail his sound by playing that gear :D
