same here sgammo, but I alway check ammoseek first. one of the few places that have 50 BMG API (not APIT) rounds, but now it has to be flagged as HAZMAT, and gets extra government visibility. API is tough to find.

I think it's good that full auto are self regulated by exorbitant prices, it lets the people who really want them to have them and generally keeps them out of nutjobs hands. Make it legal to import new, and you'll definitely have some crazy fuckers massacre a ton of people, and then the public will to ban all private ownership is provided and all private owned guns go away.

Dangerous logic there, but I wouldn’t worry. There’s no way in hell NFA is going anywhere in our lifetimes.
 
I’m hardcore 2A but some people should not have access to full auto. But that’s also a fallacy because we all have access to it now. Whether legally obtained or not. A little piece of plastic, hell even a paper clip can turn an ar full auto. You have the resources you can get what you want legally. If you’re not worried about the law there’s other options if you can get in contact with the right people. I’m still trying to figure out how all the recent shooters have been running Daniel defense kit. I don’t own any dd guns. Hell half my ar’s are poverty pony builds. Guess what though.. they run great ?

If you were trying to engage several attackers and you opened up a full auto 7.62 the odds of you hitting more than one before you were out of ammo are slim to none. Now controlled 3 rd. Bursts, not a bad plan. As long as it was select fire and you could drop back to semi auto.

yes, they usually do; but they recently (or since I last purchased some) they now have to classify it as HAZMAT and they have to notify another government agency (I forget which, it's not BATFE IIRC), which may or may not lead to more attention from the Feds.

Right now, they're out of 100 rds of 50 API; and I'm a little short on cash since I purchased a new motorcycle this past Monday


It's good to know my government cares so much about me. /s

I saw that as the same leftists that want to take our guns are fine with having their own armed security, walls, fences, protection, etc. paid for by taxpayers while denying us the same opportunities, or ability to arm ourselves for our own protection

More bullshit
I could see marking incendiary tipped rounds as such for the safety of the drivers who are actually hands on but they are not any more dangerous than tracer rounds unless fired. My understanding of them is on impact they will detonate, so normal handling of them is never gonna produce enough force to set them off. Now a vehicle fire may be a different scenario, I’m not sure. Never run API rounds before, I’ve run tracer rounds, AP ball rounds, fragmentation rounds but not API.
The .50 cal rounds I’ve shot were standard FMJ rounds through an M107 that a buddy has. They are the cheapest rounds he can get. I think he has some API rounds but he’s saving them for Groundhog Day ?
That is some badass shit, but not real practical in my circle of shit we do all the time. I’ve shot it a dozen or so times, he doesn’t always bring it out when we go but it’s fun when he does
