My pre-gig routine was to drink a Carnation Instant Breakfast - was too nervous to eat before gigs early on -
and then listen to the shortened version of 2112 off of All the World's a Stage - as loud as possible.

Have a great time, smile on stage and enjoy!!!!!

We are just starting to have rehearsals next week as things have opened up a bit. Can't wait!

That’s awesome man, congratulations!!
I’m 49 too and I’ve never had a paying gig, haha

Congratulations, mang! Good to hear that you're getting out there. Have fun, develop your chops, and learn as much as you can. I've seen you on the Hamer Fan Club message boards a few times.

Thanks fellas for all your positive vibes and advice!!! That means a lot!!!

The great thing about being young and playing gigs, is that you have no idea about how green you are.

I'm 51 and have been playing onstage for like 35 years.

The best gigs are the ones I was over-prepared to play. You're making memories. Make good ones. Over-rehearse. No one in the audience will hear your mistakes, but you will. Don't let mistakes make you hate the gig. Don't get mad at your bandmates for sucking.

Have fun and pretend it has been happening since grade school with the tennis racket. You will do great!

Excellent advice. The only way the audience usually knows if you made a mistake is if you let your body language show it.

If you do flub, just move on and keep rocking. LAST thing you want to do is let the audience see you looking uncomfortable
or unhappy with your own playing. Just rock it.

Great to see some of those nice pieces in your collection hitting the stage! Go get 'em man>>>

Very cool! Sounds like a blast !

…lotta eff’n songs to learn… ?

Well, I gotta say, it went very well!!!

We had a great crowd (I’m guessing about 400 maybe mo)

Yeah, I messed up a few times. And like you all said, nobody noticed. Lol

It was very hot and humid. I picked up fan at Menards the night before and it was a life saver.

A couple of my guitar player friends came and they said the sound was really good. I took my HATT MEAN 15 amp. It was its first time out of my basement. I took the Les Paul CS Axcess and the Heritage H535. Played the 535 the first set, the Les Paul the rest of the show.
