Andrew saw a certain someone's awesome youtube gear reviews and asked him to do some video demos of this unit. :D

Also worth noting is that soon, you guys won't need to debate over which power amp should be an appropriate mate for this preamp

So, that means you're gonna demo one and Andrew is working on a Mako power amp. Sweet. I hope the power amp can take different tube-types. Looking forward to hearing your clips.

he said it uses 6550's

but knowing the quality of the transformers he'll use, it would no doubt be capable of going down to 6L6/EL34 voltages

Also, it's going to be 15 rack spaces.

It's a handmade, quality-built, USA-made, four channel preamp with premium parts for $850.

If you're scared about resale, then you're just a pussy, and you should get out of the rack game.

If you can't get $850 back out of it, then you're also a bad salesman

I hope that didn't sound harsh.

harsh? No not harsh, your just rude, like your mom didn't teach
you better manors.keep the name calling to yourself.

Im stoked!

Can I take this into the return on my Rectoverb? It has a funky parallel loop that doesn't go to 100%...

I also have a Twister F3 that I can use...

Awesome dude, your reviews are killer!!!! When you have it if you get the chance can you do a quick test with a PA power amp if you have one handy?? I am very interested to see how a big SS power amp compare to a tube power amp with this beast!!!

yeah man. I've got a crown power amp I'm going to use. I'm also going to try it through the power section of all my amps.

Anybody know if Bogner is gonna make a production power
amp? I have an old,but well taken care of Mesa simul 295
I was thinking of using with the Mako,I have a quad preamp
matched with it now but I never use it.
Or? Anybody use a Recto 100 power amp? Is it good
or junk?

Do you mean Recto 2:100? It is a good poweramp, check the reviews.

Everybody was out to get me yesterday, and I lashed out b/c I didn't understand your logic.

I'm just saying, there's no way resale should be a problem.

I just wanna see the guts of that thing... I want to know what in the HELL required FOUR rack spaces... I mean... I'm sure he tried to do a 2X2 control set layout but geeezz.. This thing is going to be redonkulous

personally, I dont care that it's 4 rack spaces, as long as the tone is there ;)

HAs to be the flying leads of the pots pretty much, no pre needs a tranny big enough.

Only easy way to fit 4 channels of pots.
