Good lord these pickups RAWK!!!
Listen to the open chords after the first solo....

I never thought I'd see the day that I would like a passive pickup...the day has come!

Thanks to my incredible band mates for putting the backing track together:
Roy Nichol-All Vocals, Drums, Keys, recording
Don Lecompte-Bass

I almost didn't get to do this today. I blew up my Apogee Duet so I borrowed an Edirol UA-25 and used my Joe Meek Twin Q with a 57 and Apex 435 into Logic.

Hell hath frozen over.....
Dude, that sounds awesome. That is some thick, juicy tone right there.

The tone during the second solo

And your drummers voice of course

Sounded just amazing! Love the tone!! Great job Mark!

Kick ass stuff as usual man! I had a feeling if any passive pickup was going to work for you it would be the Aldrich's.

Amazing Fingers As ALWAYS!

Amazing Band Mates... If you said that it was an Actual Journey Backing Track... I wouldn't known at all... INCREDIBLE!!!!

You have an uncanny ability to dial in Sounds that I have NEVER seen anybody achieve! Amazing Ears, and the knowledge upon hearing a tone of what does what?

SCARY!

On The Pickups... I have tried them a while ago... They are Very Good! I just Miss the Bottom End and Punch of the Blackouts!

Glad you like the pickups, honestly I haven't seen a bad clip of you yet. I am sure you'll make any guitar sound good.

Congrats!

Damn, Mark.... you're getting to be as bad as Pete Thorn. Every time you post a vid it sounds killer! You're also making me jones for a OD1000SE in a bad way.

Great clip!

That was my EXACT thoughts when I first heard the Aldrich compared to my Actives....

I havent looked back yet....Aldrich sounds too damn good!

Great Video Mark!!

Great as usual

I absolutely love the Aldrich pups in mahogany, I have a set in my mahogany DCii-6. Also surprisingly the neck pup works pretty well for jazzy clean tones.

Well done Sir!!     I think you have answered the question on what I will replace my EMGs with in my favorite black STD!!
p.s., I think I have said it before, If you put together a cd of some Journey tunes I will listen to that over the originals!

Very nice...that sounded great!!! And they look so much cooler than those ugly black plastic rectangles ;)
I wish my lead singer was that good, let alone my drummer! You are fortunate to play with some talented musicians (and vicey versy).
