Sounds less compressed and more open than your actives. I like it a lot more. It's scary how close to sounding exactly like Journey you guys are. Probably even closer than Journey at the moment. :D Your drummer is an awesome vocalist, the Phil Collins of the band!

This sounded great Mark! Loved it! To be honest, it sounds like you no matter what.

Thanks, I'm glad it still sounds like me. Some folks think I sound like I do because of the active pickup I always use :)

Now Mark if you could only do a video montage of your facial expressions throughout your previous videos, I think we'll be set.

Does the Aldrich have a ceramic or alnico magnets?

quinnethan - I'm not Mark, but I happened to see this quote from John Suhr, so here you go !

Mainly for me it is about the magnets, the Alnico 5 "special" I used is exact formulation and characteristics from the early 60's, not many people use this stuff. It has the “spongy” give of Alnico2 and the power of Alnico5. Fender did use it for about 5 minutes when I was there, but ultimately it cost too much ….

Good to know, thanks bud. Never been a ceramic fan and have wanted to try out the Aldrich's. Now the gas is coming back!
