How Marshall/Hiwatt/Orange/whatever(?) is the Lo ?
How close can it get to a single channel 800 ?

I am sure the Hi/clean are covered .... but I am most interested in the middle ground.

I would like to hear more about the Lo setting on the 2nd channel as well....

I liked the RA better in that vid. It seemed to have a touch more gain and was brighter where the ED seemed to be a bit muddy in comparison. The clean channels sounded identical to me.

Mesa seems to be repackaging some amps with slight changes for the sole purpose of selling more amps. Makes sense from a business standpoint actually. They have grown a lot and to continue to be at that level they need cash flow and to do that they need to sell amps. Changing some cosmetics and tweaking the tone a bit allows them to do that without a bunch of R&D costs.

that amp sounds nice and thick, and chewy to me... the RA i mean.

so now, i have ANOTHER amp i need to check out!! just great!

He tweaked the ED to sound that way. Anyone who knows that amp knows to NOT scoop the mids, it's like throwing a blanket over it. I never run the mid on the ED below noon. But I almost always run it with an OD pedal on.

yeah, i've seen some other ED vids that made me almost want that amp. damn, so many choices!!!!!!!!

I heard the Electradyne in person and was really impressed. But the Royal Atlantic seems to be even better!

My guess is that it's a tweaked Electradyne, and as mentioned earlier is re-packaged in order to increase sales.
