**update // videos

here's one that just popped up (playing starts at around 19minutes.., dissection of the amp beforehand if you wanna see the guts =0

http://tonymckenzie.com/marshall-jvm410 ... review.htm

it has a choke as well as other changes from the standard JVM, the written review goes into detail about it, a lot of talking in that vid, but gives a bit more of an idea on the amp

//

i'll see if i can add more as i see them, here are some from the GC sessions that Joe did (thx page), where he appears to be playing through the amp:

I'm sure this amp is killer but I don't hear it in this vid. These 2 guys are selve serving at best. Between the two of them they can't dial in an amp, IMO. The clean sounded anemic.
Thanks fellas for letting us hear a Phase 90 thru it. Always a help when trying to hear an amp. Same for heaping on the Saturator to an already high gain sound. Brilliant.
also, genius going thru how many pedals before even hitting the front of the amp?

I'll be looking foward to hearing it once it gets into the hands of guys that can demo an amp, not these 2 selve serving twats

Don't hold back Carl. Tell us how you really feel!

I hung out with one of Marshalls top guys the other day and he was Raving about the Satch JVM and if Im being honest, he is one of the most truthful guys there is, so if he didn't like it, he would say so regardless of where he works ;)

I am really stoked to hear one of these in person and Im not even going to listen to or watch that video because I never really like how Rob dials his amps in. Hell I'm sure that he would hate my clips and how I dial stuff in, so it's all good hahahaha.

I have a few of them on the way and I'll give an honest review and I will most definitely put up some clips. I just got a new PC and im setting up the software as we speak

A regular JVM410H goes for $2400 so you can tack on a Satch royalty of at least $400 on top of that I'm guessing.

I have to agree with this 100%. They aren't doing Marshall any favors with this demo. They also didn't demo the mid shift which would have been probably the most important thing to cover.

I'm also curious what this thing sounds like through something besides the stock GT-75 loaded cab.

At least tune the guitar. That was horrible. The tones. The pedals. The out of tune guitar.

I think that it sounded like shit and have to agree with what cupcake said. I never get why pedals are used when doing a demo. I want to hear it in person though.

Not impressed with the demo. I don't think these guys did the amp justice.

after watching the whole thing, wasn't too impressed either, still curious to hear it in person i quite liked the JVM410 when i had one

it felt like they just sat on the OD1 - OD2 channel, and a bit of the clean, i realise these have been revoiced/reworked somewhat, but some inbetween tones would a been great, was good to hear what a longtime JVM user thought of the amp,

I'm suprised folks agreed with me, I thought I was gonna get jumped!
The point is, it's a 28 min vid. I wanna hear all the modes, what the mid switches do, etc. I don't need to hear a bank of pedals out front. If anything demo the loop with a little verb or delay.

These vids are the "Anderton's Show" Two guys f&cking off under the guise of "demo video". Within the first few minutes Chappers is name-dropping like he's some celebrity. Eddie Kramer, Satch, etc Spare me. You're a guy who's career is taping demos in a music store.

After that clean demo I cannot see you having to defend yourself

My Vox VT-20 sounds better than this demo but I am sure this amp is going to be great in the right hands.

Holy crap. It's like 6 minutes of talking before they even strum the guitar. Someone tell Marshall to hire Pete Thorn to do a REAL demo... please.

I dunno. For $2600, I think there's a TON of amps out there that are better sounding, and way better built.

For $2600 you are into some good used Diezel or Bogner stuff let alone picking up something new from Mesa. A nice amp regardless, though with some decent changes to it.

£1399 in the UK is actually pretty good for a brand new JVM head. They will come down too when the initial hype dies down, i reckon Thomann will do them for about £1100, and the used ones will go for about £800.

Consider that here a new Rectifier is £2,099 the JVM is waaaaaaay cheaper

Agree the demo was disapointing, i'd like to see Joe do the demo, it's his amp after all, or even Chris George the Marshall guy.

I thought I was the only one who hates the tone on the Andertons videos... and Rob Chapper's tone in general... and the whole 20+ minute-Andertons-uber-show-video-thing.
I prefer shorter demos that focus on the tone rather than random BS. And if the video is already that f*cking long at least show off as much of the capacity of that piece of gear as possible.
