The post office will not let you buy a money order with a credit card. You can use a debit card though.

since you live in NY, you'd have to pay tax anyway wouldn't you? If you can use your credit card through paypal, you'll actually pay less in the fees than you would in taxes.

Thanks. :) I do like that pignose picture btw. :D

Some people on the forums need to realize--and NOW--that I am not making Marshall clones. I went waaaaaaaay out of my way to make the amps look very different for two years to get that through people's heads, at my own peril (losing sales to those who wanted it to look like a plexi). My previous amps, the JP series, looked enough like plexis that it caused me no end of grief at the time because people kept saying they were Marshall clones (these were people who didn't own them, of course, but nonetheless it caused me problems). So now that I figure I've "done my time" and "swam upstream" enough and finally changed back to a much more accepted look, I certainly don't want people to think I'm doing Marshall clones. I'm making them with a look that's widely accepted, and it's sure based on a Marshall look, but the closest design I had to a Marshall was the Harrier and now that's discontinued.

Just wanted to get that 2c in there. I'm not competing with Marshall, not for sound and not for features.

I am a tad confused. If I pay with a MO, do I have to pay the NY sales tax? Forgive me if that was explained, I just couldn't tell for sure.

Me too - that said, I just paid via paypal.

FWIW, NY sales tax and OK's sales tax seems to be about the same - lol.

I can also help you guys out if you want or need to use a CC to get one of these JVM's (or any other Marshall)....I'm just waiting on my Marshall rep to get the prices to me.

Not trying to take away from Steve's generosity, just offering to help out. I am looking forward to hearing these myself!

George

No you don't.
The situation was that if I used all your CC numbers on the invoice, I would have had to pay 8.5% sales tax on $16,000
I am doing this as a cash deal with the rep to save the taxes etc...

Nevermind, lol. I had a clip on my site that sounded similar to "The Who" and the next day people on the Gear Page were claiming I made Hiwatt clones--angrily too. I showed up to explain that it was just a clip and it certainly was nowhere close to a Hiwatt design, but the guy wouldn't listen to me. That was the first thing about the Gear Page that made me re-think whether I should post there regularly or not; some of those guys just will not listen to reason.

That sounds nice. James is Cool Peoples.

I absolutely Love clip #2 of the Gryphon on his site. I believe that was yours eh? I can't wait to hear more clips of the Gryphon to see what else it's capable of. I think the Chimera might be too modern for me.

How much more aggressive can it get compared to that clip of yours?

That's true anywhere James :)

I don't really care what an amp sounds like, so long as it looks like a Marshall.
