nice amp, bit of a one trick pony tho.
i find its almost on the threshold of kerry king ism with the gain at 6 and the beast control at about 6,
after that point there is very little you can do to not sound slayer ish.
if you are running an emg 81 into it, expect classic slayer tones... not much else...
come to think of it i think i used similar settings to kerry..(not intention its just thats where they landed)
i think anyway, i'll have to dig thru my guitar mag collection i have a few good pictures of his settings somewhere...
anyway i liked it best when i was feeding the beast with a duncan custom... that was tastey... i think i might have notched one of the knobs up to 7 might have been gain kuz it added a little bit of girth
i would definatly pick one up... provided i was going with a multi amp rig...
or you don't need much versatility in your main tone...
first mod i would do tho if i had any sense.
make the beast footswtichable with avariable volume boost before the power amp to make up for the lack of amplification due to the lack of boost
also i would have footswitchable input sensitivitys...
but thats just me and i think to much... and it normally leads to pain...
Anyway, if your not flailing and actually playing the amp, get creative, the key to the ass load of sustain the thign can put out, is the gate, clean up your playing style lower the gate and just enjoy...
don't flame me for mentioning something slayer ish and sustain in the same referance...
