Is this the year they finally release a modded 1959 or 2203?

YJM, 2203KK, AFD100....?

None of which are in production.. and none of which were made using the already in production chassis and build methods of the 1959/ 2203. No powerscaling, midi, extra crap...and make it all year around, every year as a regular part of the line.

God I would love to see the 2204/2203 come back as a regular model. Be as plentiful as 5150's are now.

JCM 800

Supposed to be some new Satch combo amp as well.

As long as they don't do a big pre-release hype for more tattooed amp grills or a new phone. Jebus.

How about a Jose A style plexi/800? Maybe priced like a Jube? Man, they'd sell like crazy!

JCM 800

Yeah, but if they cost what a JCM800 re-issue costs, what's the point?

Ya why not. Every botique company and amp moder has a Jose model. Sure Santiago wouldn't have trouble scraping up a schematic on the Internet.

Marshall is very late to the game. They could have cashed in many years ago and shut all of the others out. They still have an opportunity to do so, but it would crush a lot of boutique builders though...

I'd like to see a Jube combo back in the line. It would be great for small bar gigs.

I totally agree man. I don't know who handles the marketing at Marshall but all these years seeing other companies doing mods of your tone, you would think they would have taken advantage. I can't imagine the insanity that would ensue with an early EVH Marshall tone, DeMartini modded plexi, etc.

That ship has probably sailed. EVH doing great early tones, Splawn, Friedman and others doing great classic Marshall tones. The list goes on and on.

I'll be there...

I kinda like Marshalls.

I don't think EVH is doing anything close to the classic Brown Sound. My EVH 100s gets close, but my modded Plexi Reissue gets closer. His tone on the last album is 180 deg. from what it was on the first six albums. The new EL34 head they have coming out looks to be nothing more than a 100s with EL34 tubes and no other changes.

I've played Marshalls my entire life but I don't miss having one. My Splawn sounds every bit as good as any Marshall I've had but with a better loop.
The Friedmans are killer as well. Wizard, etc.

There are so many others out there I can't see playing one again. :aww:

Maybe a new refrigerator? Or how about a toaster oven?

I think most metro sexual males serious about advertising their musical career for all those who don't care about it anyway should get the Marshall shoulder bag.
