A buddy of mine was asking me about the Virtual Power Reduction feature of his TSL. It says in the manual, "VPR (Virtual Power Reduction) switch that emulates the sound and feel of a fully saturated 25W amp". He wants to know what the amp is really doing because the words "virtual" and "emulates" are sticking out. It says that it keeps all four power tubes running, so it's not just cutting two or more of them out. So what's really happening here? Is it just switching in an attenuator? Any help is much appreciated.
