I've been jonesing for a 1959RR and a YJM for some time now.

But I recently picked-up a Lickliter Rage here on RT and I gotta say... I really DIG it and don't find myself "yearning" for the YJM like I used to. Still... I clicked on this thread... so I must still be curious.

ps have you ever tried the quinn fuzz? for some reason although i'm not a fuzz guy at all, that one sounds really cool on the clips.
I have had one for almost a year .... I did a blind taste test with about 20 vintage & modern fuzzfaces playing on various amps with my Les Paul & Strat .... With 5 people with dog ears everyone pick the Quinn every time.... Personally I really like it. It is a bit modern voiced....

very interesting. i tend to agree with your tastes in tone so i'm pretty sure i'd be happy with this pedal. i can't stand the big muff type sound, a mash of woofy blurry sound, but the quinn sounds dynamic on the grind side, smooth velvety saturated sustain on the fuzz quality, and clarity and headroom in the lows.

Yes, I since sold it, but it was a 2011 YJM w/ the Duncan Furys

Great amp, just prefer the thickness and more modern tones of many other amps.
