I hope Marshall comes to their senses and brings it back, this was one the very bright spots in their recent history, IMO.

I guess they were serious about limited edition.

Wow, the only recent Marshall I've been interested in.

That's too bad. I had the pleasure of jamming on one for a few hours awhile back. It is a great sounding amp. They should rebadge it and make it a bit more affordable.

I thought they discontinued it a while ago? I use one as my main live amp and plug straight in :)

Tried one in a local music store. Being a non-master volume even with attenuator and built overdrive, the amp was very clean sounding at low volumes. Didn't want to crank it in the little shop. The ten minutes I spent with it didn't impress me at all. Did I miss something? I figured with the attenuator and overdrive I could get 80's gain at lower volumes . Might be great at high volumes though?

Easy to say when it is not a stock amp...... :D

Not a bad thing for the guys who own a YJM. Will definitely drive the resale value up. Consider yourself lucky if you have one!

STOP GIVING AWAY ALL MY SECRETS YOU FOOOOOOOOOOOL!

Always been curious about these. What do they sound like? Feel?

All about the dollars and cents. If nobody buys it, it does t matter how good it is.

I knew the YJM was going to be limited to 1500 units when I bought mine.

Too bad, it has all the cool features you could add to a plexi; boost, loop, reverb, attenuator, and nice bias feature... none of which Malmsteen actually used
They should repackage it as a regular production model

I would love a 1987 reissue with power scaling, and a ppimv!

You sure Malmsteen never used a boost, thought I'd read that he regularly used a DOD boost pedal of some sort...I could be mistaken.

I think some of the clips of the amp sound really good but was never real interested. Used prices will probably start going back up as they had dropped quite low the last 6 months or so.

He most definitely uses a boost (no choice with such low output pickups), like you said, I think he prefered using a pedal than the amp's actual boost. It's pretty funny in the rig rundown video when he explains all the amp features and ends every sentence with "but I don't really use it"

He doesn't use those features live cause his live rig and pedals remain the same. I'm pretty sure he had those features built in for the convience. If he had to play a small place, all he needs is in the head.

I'm not sure about that
Get Malmsteen to play at your 30-people family cookout and he'll show up with his Marshall wall and still blast his amp at full volume, because he's Malmsteen! ;)

I thought it was established when it was released that they were a limited run...?
