I lived in Westfield and Chicopee in the mid to late 80s and never saw a bagel shop

Id drive back home to Brooklyn to visit mom and bring back 5 dozen.
Dont get me started on Chinese take out up there.

The Berkshires seem to be their own microcosm. We’ve pretty much fully transitioned to a NYC bedroom community. We have 1 dunkin and it can’t stay staffed well enough to run, and the nearest Starbucks is a good 20 minutes away just off the pike.
But we have a handful of organic grocery stores and more dispensaries then I can keep track of

That's one thing we agree on. Bit o' honeys. I must have been getting cheated out of the root beer barrels cause I never get any.

Sometimes I just want to order a cable or cheap tuner every week so the rep calls me constantly asking how my order turned out.

We got the krispy kreme donuts down here. No wonder this state is a bunch of fatasses. Brisket, donuts, breakfast tacos galore, never mind the ribs and sauasages.

A dinner of Black's BBQ brisket and ribs topped off with a bag of krispy kremes mmmmmm. You should see how people pile into the fast food joints around here on the weekend. Drive thru at 10pm, packed. Indoor dining at 10pm, packed. Whattaburger and football seems to be bordering a religious activity in these parts. I'm always light on gigs when NFL and college football get started.

Man I miss fast food. We have a barely open Dunkin’ Donuts and a McDonalds. After that it is all poncy chef owned restaurants. Great food, but sometimes I just want something quick and easy. If there wasn’t an Indian take out joint down the road we would be lost

I suppose where you're located it would be nice to have a couple options. I can't say I miss eating fast food or the now high pricetag. There is a ridiculous amount of fast food restaurants here and they are always busy. There must be a dozen chicken joints in a town of 60k. Cains, Gil's, Golden Chick, Chick Fil-A, KFC, Popeyes, Zaxby's......it's nuts. I can spend $30 feeding three people In and Out burger or Whattaburger. For $50 I can get a brisket it, smoke it, and five people can eat for a week off that. We pretty much eat at home every night. Cheaper and tastes better but yeah getting a break from cooking is nice now and again.
