What do you guys think?

Probably nice quality, and well though out frequenzies.
I dunno if the Recto really needs a scooped graphic eq in the loop, though :D

How close is this to the GEQ in the MK series I wonder?

Nice EQ curve
Sounds like shit :gethim:

always great when turning the pedal on sounds worse than it did before ;)

cool to offer the mesa EQ frequencies in a box, which looks massive as well

Funny.I asked them last year if they will do something.answer was no

That sounded terrible, but I guarantee this will sound great with my Triple Rec if I don't use a retarded eq, will buy, anyone have a price point?

Where exactly in the circuit is the Mark series EQ placed?
I don't think putting an EQ in the loop would be equivalent

If it's in the loop of a Mark Series, there's one gain stage between the loop and where the EQ is usually placed.

The GEQ is right before the power amp, so I guess post effects loop.

Never liked the graphic eq on Mesa amps...I always thought the versions without them sounded better.

Rectifier amps have a built in scoop to their voicing already. That clip might've sounded good had he cranked the mids on the amp to full then cut them on the pedal. That is, assuming the center frequency (750 hz on the pedal) is different on the amp itself.

I thought the metal guys used the MXR 10 band in the loop.
How would this differ?

Mesa has 3 pedals with an EQ they are releasing, from what I saw on TGP. Can't watch the video right now, but the other 2 look cooler to me, basically distortions with EQ.

Sounded ten thousand times better before he switched on the eq pedal!

Hmm maybe I won't have to use my modified Studio preamp anymore.
