Nice playing and killer tone. I gotta get my mkiv back up and running. And that reminds me I need a mkiii. Lol.

I would keep the mkiii tbh. There are TONS of mkiv's on the market.

My mkiv is a deep on the work list tbh. I have a few others to finish up first.

OH yeah, I gave you a thumbs up and subscribed.

Cheers bro.

I got a Mark iii blue stripe a couple weeks ago and love it. I don’t remember liking my Mark IV this much. I would always be messing with the Mark IV, but I’ve got the iii sounding freaking awesome from the time I turn it on to when I’m finished playing. Keep the iii.

I would keep the III and keep your eyes peeled and money ready for a really great deal on a MkIV. It will happen if you're patient. Then compare extensively side by side and decide.

I got my mkiv for $600 on a quick deal. Great deal. Don't ditch the iii.

Does your blue stripe have the C30 capacitor installed?
I have a green stripe which didnt and it sounded more aggressive than my IIC+. I tried adding a c30 cap (1nF) and think it prefer that the most being slightly smoother, matches the iic+ circuit now.

Thx a lot everyone! This amp really roars when played through a 2x12 or a 4x12 cabinet! I picked up a closed back 2x12, with some old peavey speakers, scorpion if I'm not mistaken, for 120 euros! Holy crap! Those speakers kill some high frequencies and the fizsiness of the amp! I'm gonna be posting stone clips!

Yes ur right about the c30 mod! Ive read that it tame the brightness of the amp and then the presence and the 2200 6600 slides can be dialed easier without making the amp sound harsh!

I really like the first :23 second chunk of the clips in your first post, and the ultimate guitar version sounds a fuck ton better than the youtube version. Another win for the Suhr RL and Torpedo cab! I greatly prefer IR boxes like the Torpedo and my Pangaea to software IR loaders. So much tighter and responsive.

I wouldn't let that mark III go if I were you, that's a lifetime amp IMO.

I know right? Stupid youtube low volume + compression issues! I agree, this amp is a wild fucker and I don't think I'll ever let it go!

What's the story on your new IRs?
I used some ml labs IRs. The zula and the mesa OS both miced with the r121, no eq! I'm gonna be posting some videos demonstrating them. The two notes products are fucking awesome!

I've got a MKIII blue stripe/export long head with my usual mods from Mesa. That amp is a never seller too...if you have some work done on it you'll never have a need for the IV

Mine is unmodded but I think I'm gonna have the c30 mod to reduce the brightness, but it will have a switch on - off ;)

I recommend trying it, i have my c30 cap on a pull switch on the R2 volume mod on the back panel.
