1988 Mesa Boogie Strategy 400 stereo power amp in great condition. This is the second version with presence switches on the back. Massive tone with super solid low end and smooth volume taper.
No issues. Idles with zero hum. Loaded with 12 Mesa power tubes (8 Chinese STR420 6L6s and 4 USA Sylvania STR416 EL34s) putting out 200 watts per channel.
This is one of the few rack power amps that sounds and feels like a head thanks to its full-sized Schumacher 562180 output transformers. Each channel is equivalent to a Mark series Coliseum amp. Famously used by Metallica live and in the studio since the late '80s.
Includes an SKB 4U Roto Rack. Local pickup only in Los Angeles, CA.
