I wonder if now that John Marshall (former Metallica tech who designed this "tight" mod) has taken over as R&D / tech guy at Mesa Boogie...They will finally get it together and roll out a Hetfield signature amp?

People are saying to "just buy an overdrive", but not only does this add a new switch, it's also $500 less than the normal model. So not only do you get this additional tight switch, but you're paying less overall, as well. Seems like a win-win to me.

No it isn't. The regular reissue is the same price. The chrome chassis version is the one that's more expensive.

I'm looking forward to the new TriAxis. Not sure of the details, but they've been working on it for a while. Agree that it'd be cool if it is more serviceable.
