Those with mesa amps...Does your transformer get hot? i'm talking like quite hot, after an hour or 2 of playing....mine has the schumacher trannies I believe(EIA606-637), and seems quite hot....has correct grade tubes, and sounds great...but should i worry about it?Im talking about the transformer on the right side when looking from the back of the amp(near rectifier tubes)

The power transformer usually gets hot, like a medium hotness with 6L6's but gets hotter with EL34's.

I haven't played my amp for more than 30 minutes at a given time lately but surely others will chime in.

Do you live in an area with a hot climate?

Yeah its pretty hot here....yesterday i had the amp running for an hour and a half but outside the headshell, and it was not getting that hot,so im guessing it was just all the tube heat built up inside the box combined with the weather that day...i'll probably add a small fan to pull heat away from the inside from now on. I might also remove the rectifier tubes to lessen heat generated, since im always on silicon diode rectification anyways.
