Picked up my Mesa Tverb from repair at Manny at Guitar N Amp Doctor in Canton, OH earlier today and went to jam thru the Mesa and it's picking up radio stations?! Tried 2 different guitars and same thing? I might try and post the video I took if the file isn't too big, anyone know what's going on?

Here's the list of stuff that was going on with the Mesa when I took it for repair: numerous cracks on the circuit card, circuit board was loose from inside the amp, vibration was shaking the tube pins loose so he resoldered & retensioned all the tube sockets, Rtv'd the circuit board back down to where it belongs.

Schematic indicates no input grid resistor on the tverb. Standard value is 68k. Easy enough to DIY. I would try a 68k first then maybe move lower to get as low as possible but still block the rf....i have a 10k on the input grid of my 5150...atock is also 68k. Lower = more dynamics and less hiss....at least to my ears.

Hey man just saw your post, I was on the phone with Manny @ guitar n amp doctor and he said it's the "nature of the beast" with high gain amps. Said he had an old Marshall JCM800 that did the same thing and said the one club he played at no matter what he tried it still picked up radio stations, CB's etc, he mentioned something about trying a Ground Lift from the wall or if I'm going to use a pedal board try a ground lift?

Most high gain amps have an grid resistor in the v1 or v2 input (depending what stage is stage 1). Tverb schem i looked at 1st stage is v1 and its bare input with no resistor. Easy common fix. Any amp tech will know that but might overlook it! Worth trying. Dont ground lift

Whats strange is the Mesa hasn't gotten radio stations like this in years?

Ok I just got done doing a little jamming thru the Mesa, switched guitar cables, and no radio stations coming thru amp. MAN!! Is it loud on about 9 o clock position on the volume!! I'm running it thru my Marshall 1960 switched to Mono 16 ohm out of Mesa to 16 ohm input on cab, had to give my ears a break!!

Now I'm worried about using it for shows, sound guys might get ansy!!

THATS AWESOME MAN! Now see if you can get it to pick up porn or your neighbors having sex through a baby monitor
