Thanks for the kind words. Mike did this mod for me 2 years ago and I am still in heaven every time I plug in. This clip was a little different. First I played in Drop D. Usually I tune lower. I also used a higher output pickup(17.2k I think). I prefer the lower output PU with lower tunings(A#) and the higher output with standard or drop D. I had the gain knob on two and I used the clipping circuit that Mike put in. I don't use it often but it sounds awesome. Very fun to play. I recorded a V30 on the left and a G12K-85 on the right. Mic was in the exact same spot for both(I made a template). Volume was on 2 and still pretty loud, bass 5,mid 4 1/2, high 4, depth 4 1/2, presence 2. Used a single SM57 for each of the two guitar tracks into a Presonus Firebox into Garageband. Guitar tracks are raw. Bass is my Epiphone EBM4 into a Boss Bass overdrive(just a little) into a Tech 21 VT Bass into the Firebox. Used EZ Drummer.

Thanks man, VTMs are cool amps but this one WAS a VTM. One of the reasons I'm excited about the new Randall line is my first hand experience with what Mike can do. And do with a brand new amp at most likely some great prices.

is this through the VTM? My first head was a VTM60 when I was 16 lol. I miss those clean tones out of it. I still think about getting another one. I sold it like a retard to upgrade to a Dual Rectifier.

Thanks man. Can't wait to hear it with those Small Blocks. I played it with my friends Splawn 2x12 loaded with the SB/BB combo and really liked it. By Wednesday I should have all 4 SB's loaded in a 4x12. Gonna be cool.
