i just finished up a bunch of mods to my 5150, one of which being putting diode clipping in it, and it really sounds killer..and also allows me to lower the master volumes on the channels to bedroom levels when i need to, along with a bunch of other mods.

Thanks man. Can't wait to hear it with those Small Blocks. I played it with my friends Splawn 2x12 loaded with the SB/BB combo and really liked it. By Wednesday I should have all 4 SB's loaded in a 4x12. Gonna be cool.

As soon as I get them that is the plan. I will record the same track with the SB's with everything else being exactly the same. Cool thing is that the amp isn't picky with speakers at all. Everything I've tried, I liked.

I was hanging out at the Randall booth on sat/sun for about an hour each day.Mike,Joe and Jason were way cool and seemed to really enjoy showing off the new amps.The RD100 sounded killer through the Celestion G12H-100 loaded 4-12,as did the tiny RD5,which gets alot of the bigger sibling's great tones and vibe.Also,the TC Electronic Nova Repeater delay that they had sounded great through the amp's effects loop.While I still love my "old school" RD50,the new Fortin Diavlos offer up some tighter,more modern high gain tones,in addition to the somewhat looser,more classic metal voiced tones from the RD50.Now I'm trying to decide if I want the RD5 or the RD20.

I'm 99.9% sure most likely I'll have to buy before I try. This would normally leave me nervous, but with Mike having tweaked these things I don't feel nervous about it at all. I will certainly ask a few people that have played them some questions. The 5 sounds like it would be fun to have(and I may get one also later on) but the real decision is between the 20 and the 45. The smaller size of the 20 is very appealing too. Can't wait to hear some clips or a playthrough.
