I haven't been playing the heavy stuff much lately so I thought I would give this one a shot. I recently downloaded the Lasse Lammert metal profiles for my Kemper and they are just awesome. I picked a profile called "Nineties First" with an explanation of the profile in his words:

Maxon OD820 > Mesa Rectifier Rackmount with Mercury Magnetics transformers
> Marshall 1960AV 4x12 cabinet with V30s > SM57
Very tight and articulate rhythm sound with not too much gain and an “open” harmonic structure.

Lead was recorded using another called "Liquid Leads::

Maxon OD808 > Soldano HotRod 100+ with SLO100 Specs
> Mesa Stiletto 4x12 cabinet with V30s > SM57 + R121
No matter what guitar, pickup or tuning, this will put a smile on your face and inspire you...
I promise!

I also used a killer sounding bass profile for the clip too.

As you can see I used my Anderson Pro Am. I know I didn't play the tune (rhythm and lead) note for note but at least my vibrato is better than Kirk's.

Very nice man!!!
Great tone.
Sounded great on my headphones, I'm sure it will sound superb on the system at home.

Sounds killer to me! Excellent Hamster style lead as well!

Whoa, you're from South Jordan? I'm in Draper!

Yep, I live right near Daybreak. Where in Draper are you? Up near Sun Crest?

Sounds quite good- great for using when covering the song live. Doesn't quite nail it to my ears (doesn't have that angry snarl in the upper mids), but that's a hard thing to pull off- and something even a real Recto just can't pull off anyway. You need a Mark Series Mesa/Boogie to get that.

I always loved the tone in your clips.

I also like the way you made the solo your own instead of playing it exactly note for note since you have better vibrato then Kirk. You "de-hamstered" the solo so to speak.

WTF?! I'm getting all kinds of copyright infrigment notices on both my mobile and pc    .

Can't access the video it seems from Funland apparently.

Thx Chad  appreciated greatly!

And WOW!!! Very good job, again. I think this might be the best clip you've done with the Kemper, rivals for the numero Uno with the Whitesnake clip IMO.

NP: Kemper - Rainbow in the Dark from your Soundcloud ;) so far STELLAR!

...I need to either a) get my loadbox stuff together or b) get a freakin' Kemper and be done with it

ThanksSami! It is a great piece of gear. It is a good time to be a musician with so many great options (a digital box like the KPA, Axe, 11r, etc or a Torpedo solution for a tube amp).

Yeah, it's so different from the time I started this journey way back when...and mostly in a god damn good way too!
