Here is a short clip I took of the Metro-Friedman Amp from the LA Amp Show
For the ones that don't know, this is Dave Friedman and Pete Thorn in the video

sounds great, is that tone straight to amp or is it boosted with a pedal ?

That's straight into the amp

Sounds amazing, quintessetial Brown Sound.

Mr. Friedman, what kind of pre-amp tubes in that amp?

was it attenuated?

No attenuator, I think everything was pretty much dimed. It was loud! :D
They had Faustine attenuator's you could use but in this video it was not used.

Yeah dimed. Thats part of the sound. The 20 watt heritage celestions handle it for sure. The clip was straight in. Since then there have been a couple of tweaks and its even better.

Dave, sounds good but man, you would think those 20w speakers would be falling apart.

I've got 33 year old 25 watt Blackbacks and always try to watch it when cranking a 2203 Marshall.

I was told a 100 watt Marshall had a peak watts of up to 175...........or is that a myth???

I try not to go much over halfway with the master which is usually close to stupid loud anyway.

That's what i'm saying.
again, i would think using only one cab loaded with those speakers would just fall apart with splatty lows happening all over the place.

consider the variac- it's probably only making 50-60watts. When down at 90v. And the EVH's (and Heritage 20's, same thing) are actually 25 watt speakers.

Pete I am blown away by what Dave has done with Metroamps. The tone in that clip is blowing my mind. Totally insane!
