Wanted to share this clip of our friend Strat78 playing a Metropoulos Metroplex
You can tell by the video he likes to have fun with the EVH thing!
Add an EchoPlex and a Flanger... here ya go!

Yes... a friend of George's and Strat78... George was good enough to send him a MetroPlex to make some clips.

Damn, that was pretty rad. Has THE ballpark fundamentals of the cranked plexi. Love the tones man, oh, and the playing too

Great vid. Makes me want one now

After watching a detailed comparison vid George did for the Metro Plex and Super Plex, I want to try a Super Plex in the worst way. Seems like an amp that could bring all my Malcolm, Page and Kossoff dreams to life with a boost thrown in for good measure. But laying down $3700 plus just to see if I like it......Ouch.

Sounds amazing for sure... if you want the exploding amp on the cheap, lift the ground from your middle pot on a 2204 style amp and you get that more out of control amp feeling (because i also don't have 3700 US DOLLARS which is over 5k Canadian to spend on an amp)

Pretty cool. It misses the mark on the bass/bottom end though

I think the player believes that On Fire on the album has a different sort of sound than some of the other tracks and he was trying to capture that.
If it helps, I think he might have eased of the bass to get a tighter sound. Pickup was a Duncan 59, but with a ceramic mag swapped in.

I just want that practice bomb in the background. I actually had one when I was a kid and my folks sold it in a garage sale when I went to college.
