Metropoulos built BE100

Hi,

i could pick up a used Metro built 2,5 years old Be100 (with the simple clean channel). Is this version considered as a good sounding amp? what you think?

This ... I have one of those and the build is fantastic. I actually prefer this version over the new one as it's simpler without additional channel and boost switching.
I'm more of a plug-n-play guy and never use the clean channel. Having said that, the clean is great, especially the clean in the HBE (or "H") input. Never understood what more could anyone want out of it ... each to their own I guess.

No ... the Metro version I have can footswitch between clean and dirty. But can not footswitch between BE/HBE because it has separate inputs ... think Low/High inputs where Low is BE and High input is HBE. Regardless of which one you plug into you can still footswitch clean.

Works great for me cuz I never use HBE, I actually prefer boosting BE with an OD to HBE gain levels if need to.
