I do prefer tube amps, but solid state amps are great also.
The Quilter Micropro Mach 2 1x10 combo is what I consider to be the best of the best.
200w of power takes you from Bedroom volume to gigging.
It needs no pedals as it has a built in boost and built in reverb.
The 6 button footswitch is a must with this amp, it allows you full access to the features of the amp with the press of a button.
I also had this amp in the 1x8 version and it was just as good.
It does great cleans up to all out rock.
