I plan on getting the Mzero as soon as my finances allow it. I went and played an Mzero at a local music store a few times. When I played it, I had it turned up pretty loud. Can you get decent bedroom volumes?

I just got my M Zero and haven't spent a lot of time on it yet, but I would say that it will do bedroom volume, but it isn't the best at it. My Landry G3 and BE-100 are the best 100 watt amps at doing the bedroom volume thing that I have ever played. The M Zero can sound decent at bedroom volume, but it will sound much better turned up some, just like everything else. YMMV and all that, but I hope that helps a little.

You can have a master volume, or a footswitchable dual master, as options.

Wait so you tried it out, but you didn't try it at low volumes??????

is that so amazing that I wanted to crank it up a little and open up the amp?? I was at a music store, the amp sounded great and I was having a blast playing it, the last thing on my mind was turning it way down.

Ask for the master volume mod (if not present on the amp)

Hey Jayy , I've been gassing for a Landry for quite a while . How would you compare and contrast the Landry to the Friedman and Mezzabarba ? Sorry for the hijack .

isn't that the italian amp brand that just got rebranded cause it did not sell shit?
I thought that's the only thing that happened there.. all of a sudden there's interest for those amps?! Masotti or something like that!?

Is that the actual story?

Would be interesting to see a A/B image of the guts of the X100M and Mzero.

I have a Masotti x100, killer amp. They never sold them in the US, but Masotti sold well in Europe and other places they were sold. They are using the Masotti name for their guitar devices and Mezzabarba for the amps.

Not the actual story, Masotti still exists, Mezzabarba is his new amp line. You can still get the Masotti x100, M1, etc.

I think they wanted to separate different styles of amps; Masotti are pcb technology, total band suppression passive equalizer, MIDI.They even did a motorized potentiometer head and preamp.
Mezzabarba are turret board amps, with a british classic vibe, but still have their tone characteristics.

This is the X100M

I started seeing it a few weeks ago. Probably Google figuring out that this is an amp forum (maybe even sensing that the word Mezzabarba has been typed here before) and pointing the ad here.

Well, they are all a little different, but all have some Marshall flavor to them. I have six amps currently. The BE-100, a Bray 4550, a Soldano SLO, the Landry G3 with dirty clean channel, the M Zero, and a 1959 SLP that I rebuilt myself with PTP board voiced as a Van Halen type of plexi. I haven't sold a single amp that I have bought and I love them all. I guess I'm just an amp whore. lol. Anyway, if I absolutely just HAD to get rid of all of them but one I'd keep the Landry G3. The voicing of the G3 is awesome and the way Bill set up the EQ, bright switch, depth control, hard/soft switch, etc. it is just the most versatile amp I have had and so easy to get awesome tones out of no matter what speakers you run with it and the feel and touch response is outstanding. It is the most versatile amp I have ever played. Like I said, I love all my amps for different reasons, but the Landry G3 is just hard to beat overall. So, if you are gassing for a G3 then GET ONE! They are worth far more than they cost IMO.

You are right, no Masotti amps in USA, the company is well established in Europe, as above mentioned. The MEZZABARBA line of amps is not a rebrand, but a point-to-point-no compromise new creation from the Masotti people, them wanting to build a top notch amp line, this for both Europe and USA sales. The Mzero, Mzero Overdrive heads and the Skill 30 have been well received here in USA, for the short time they've been available, they are gaining notoriety with top players and musicians in general for their quality of tone and solid built.

Landry, Friedman and Mezzabarba are 3 top amps, and the all 3 sound good. For my ears and feel, i say that the Friedman is the sweetest of the bunch, tone wise, but smaller sounding then the other two. Landry and Mezzabarba are close, they both are very versatile, with the Mezzabarba being bit more aggressive.

Wow, awesome amp collection man!!

I have owned a Landry G3 and currently own a Friedman BE100, and am going to buy an MZERO. The BE100 replaced my Landry which I thought sounded nice but not nice enough. The Mezzabarba MZERO Overdrive absolutely blew me away. It was hands down the biggest sounding amp I have ever played, and what struck me was how open it sounded. The gain channel is killer, and I could not believe how incredible the clean channel was...clean through edge tones to classic rock due to a gain structure boost and a footswitchable boost. I can understand why some have said it's more aggressive sounding, but I think you can dial it how you want using the gain, the depth and the feedback controls...i like how that allows to soften or harden the feel and bite. Truly a great amp.
