Just so there is no confusion, that was a thread I started after receiving a new build from Mark.
So, the thread title of "Plexi Killer" is my own opinion and does not reflect MGL Amp company.

Yeah, I know, when I said “your” I meant “plexi killer made by you”, not “your thread”. Excusable for a non-native speaker, I hope ?

Hello.
Was looking at your site and noticed something with the MGL20.
The texts says FX loop included but there isn't one in any of the photos.
Can you clarify this please?
Thank you.

Hi Donnie B, You are correct. The specs on the 20w have recently changed. The FX loop and saturation circuit are now stock on the amps. But the pictures posted are of the last version. New pictures will get posted sometime soon when I have a current model here to take pictures of.

mark , hope your well ! wondering how far out to build a mgl 20 you are ?
also which circuit is the amp you built for Zach wish ? can it transpire to the 20 watt ?

A 20w build would be 4-6 weeks right now. We have all of the parts needed in stock. Zach’s amp was a Purple Circuit and yes a 20w Purple would be very similar. Just with a 6V6 power section rather than EL34’s that are in the 50w.

what's the price on that ?

So what’s the difference between the red and purple circuit?

The Purple and Red are both modded 2204 circuits with different levels of gain. The Purple will still cover stock 2204 tones depending on where you have the gain. The Red has more gain on tap and is more aggressive. Shines more with higher gain playing. And isn’t going to do well trying to get AC/DC rhythm parts.

How would the Red Circuit compare to other 2204 based amps like the Snorkler and JEL50?

Thanks for your interest! Being up front, I have not heard either of those amps in person so I can only go by demos I've watched. I think our Red Circuit is more modded than the JEL50 and has more gain. My guess would be, a little easier and smoother to play. I think the JEL is probably a little more stiff like a stock 2204. As with all of the Bogner amps, they are kind of their own thing with the mids shifted down and darker. They don't have the cutting upper mids of a Marshall which we always try to retain. Sounds a little more grainy and harder in the top end than what we go for. My simple guess would be that our amp sits somewhere in the middle. Sorry I can't be more accurate, but without actually having the other amps, that's the best I can do.

If you were a politician I’d vote for ya!

Thanks for the reply, that's kinda what I was thinking as well. Some of the smoothness of the Bogner without the lower mid emphasis and more true to Marshall character. I'm surprised I haven't saw any comparisons between these.

Sounds like the clean channel may be pretty similar to the JEL50 from the description. Doesn't quite saturate as much as a Plexi but good for boosts and overdrives.
