What a trip. I didn't know Michelle Meldrum was married to John Norum! I actually met her briefly in '88 or '89 when Phantom Blue was starting. I was messing around with this bass player chick that was jamming with the band at the time and she invited me to drop by a rehearsal. ), but I was blown away by Michelle and the other chicks guitar playing. They kicked the bass player chick to the curb before they played any gigs, of course...

Michele rocked. John's Wife. From what I heard he was devastated. She was only 39 and passed tragically from a brain tumor. They have a kid.

Yeah, Michelle was definitely a talented player. Didn't Mark Cameron make her an amp, too?

He did. A 79 JMP. He did one for John that was an SLP. It was in 93. Mark did maybe ten amps tops at that time. He only did three amps that were like his original with the five way rotary preamp voicing. He said there could have been a forth but he did not think so. I have the 79. A very high chance it was Michelles. Only named Aldrich when Doug said he could use his name for the mod after he recorded and toured with it. I had no idea he was married to a guitar slinger either! She def has some chops and ain't bad looking either! One thing she doesn't have is John's vibrato but hey, he needed to have something over her in order to be the man in that household right??

No idea they were married...heh....loved Phantom Blue back in the day and still listen to them, had luck to see them once..ripping!

I saw Meldrum open up for Black Label Society years ago....they kicked ass, and their singer was ridiculously hot.
