I use it in the effects loop of my tube amps just mainly for delay. But sometimes run it direct to sound man.
Sounds ok for a couple hundred bucks.

Actually...I find when someone likes your tone/playing out front and they find out it's a cheap floorboard going direct, they are even more impressed that you are pulling off the gig with such crap..

How you like the Plexi sample? I'm still tweaking the preset, but this thing actually has the annoying swirly/swoosh that old Marshalls have. It annoys me even when it's 1's and 0's... but hey... we all wanted "authentic" I guess

I'm glad Vlad inspired me to record a direct clip...it made me realize I needed to tweak it more...I messed with it and it sounds fatter/warmer now.
Pretty crazy how many things can get good tones nowadays for not much money. To bad they weren't available in the 80's when we needed them.

Yeah I think you'll dig it. You can pick them up on eBay all day long for less than $400 (without Pro Tools 11). If you don't have a DAW or want to switch to Pro Tools, they're $699 new from Sweetwater.

I like that Peavey iPhone app best out of the guitar apps. The Budda and the Fargen sims in it are awesome. I was actually using my iPad for gigs for a bit but it needed a foot controller to change patches on the fly.
