There really isn't any magic in any of these patches. The 800 patch was something I found on one of the preset sites. I forget which one, but the preset is called 800 KRUNCH. If you have an 11R I can send you my exact same patch. All I did was add a Tube Screamer and toggle the delay, flanger or chorus on and off. For Chubtone's request I just turned off the chorus/flanger and delay and gave it some room with the reverb.

The Plexi patch is nothing more than the Plexi Variac model with the H30 cab. Cond67 mic on axis and speaker breakup turned up pretty high. Just like the 800 patch I added the Tube Screamer model and toggled the delay or reverb on or off. I didn't do anything after that. I just tracked it into Cubase or Logic (I got Logic Pro X last weekend) and bounced it down to an AIFF and m4a for export. That's it. There's no trickery here. If you can't get it to sound like this, I would be more than happy to send you the patches.

I'm glad Vlad inspired me to record a direct clip...it made me realize I needed to tweak it more...I messed with it and it sounds fatter/warmer now.
Pretty crazy how many things can get good tones nowadays for not much money. To bad they weren't available in the 80's when we needed them.

You're so right! I have some iPhone apps that sound pretty damn good! I think they cost me $4.99 at the most! We would have killed for this shit in the 80's and 90's.

There's no excuse for guitar players in bands not to have a good live tone now.
I like that Peavey iPhone app best out of the guitar apps. The Budda and the Fargen sims in it are awesome. I was actually using my iPad for gigs for a bit but it needed a foot controller to change patches on the fly.

Not sure. I heard a couple of them, they sound pretty good.
