FRICKING MACHINE..

Sorry. I know the Moscow stuff from '89 has been out there already but his tone on Shout is good here IMO :dunno:

His Marshall tone is so raw and heavy.

Then I found this right after which I have never heard for some reason. Mick has these great little fills that are not on the original- and the outro is so bitchin' :rawk:

I expected that to conclude he is a mummy from the dynasty following whichever one Kieth Richards is from.

Mick’s live tone on their last tour was killer. Maybe the best live heavy rock tone I’ve ever heard. I like Mick, think he’s underrated.

I actually played the Shout amp a few months back. A friend of mine bought it from Mick. One of the bst Marshalls I have ever heard. They have NO IDEA what mods were done to it or by whom, but its an AMAZING amp!

Always loved Micks tone. He’s a riff master. I really want to play one of the Voodoo R4 amps, it’s a copy of Micks #1 Marshall that he sold to Richard Fortus back when he was having financial issues in the 90s. It was modded by Jose back in the 80’s, Fortus says it’s the best sounding Marshall he’s ever heard.

This is the one I played, but to be honest they aren't 100% it was Jose ;)

Not the best lead player but he wrote some amazing rythms and was such an underrated part of their sound. Also agree that his live tone was one if not the best I have ever heard. Huge fat crunch cut.

The solos in Too Young To Fall In Love & Home Sweet Home are both awesome for sure!

An original Jose Arredondo modded Marshall.

Mick Mars is a hero! I've seen them three or four times and he carried the band. He could barely move, but he slayed it. Long live Mick!

for sure, he played for the song and you could always sing his leads. I am just saying compared to some of his peers. I always loved smokin in the boys room, he did great on that one too.

Exactly what I posted in a previous post. His tone is KILLER :rawk:
So many points to take note of in this thread.
-Voodoo R4 amp, anyone have one?
-What are these mods exactly?
-Pics...

I never saw them live, but I love hearing Mick's great live tone, because his recorded tone on SATD was sooooooo thin. Almost ruined the record for me back then.

Yep, but when I played it, it was just before it was sold. Like a day or two before Rich bought it. Not much to tell really other than whats in the Voodoo Amps forum. I was told they werent sure if Jose did the mod personally, but it definitely doesn't sounds like a Jose, so I think they just went with it. Its the most amazing marshall I have ever played. I wanna steal it :P hahahah!
