bueller?

I'd pass unless you really need another amp. A guy locally had one of these, whenever I saw them play live he was buried by the other guitarist that was using a DSL. Alone it sounded ok, but not all that inspiring. The dude sold it and switched to a DSL or a JCM 900 (can't remember which) and his tone was better. YMMV :dunno:

its all tube with built in effects
thanks for the feedback !

Not "all tube".
Power amp / phase inverter is tube. The preamp channels use half of one triode each. The rest of the preamp is solid state. ( amp only has 2 x 12ax7's)
Personal opinion is these suck Donkey balls.
$300 door stop.
Ymmv

Kind of like the Blackstar HT series with built in effects. Definitely not boutique, for 3hundo itd be an ok deal nothing spectacular tho. Had one for a couple weeks. Line 6 spider valve sound really or blackstar HT.

I have one - they do not suck. Loud AF and very versatile. For $300 it's a steal.

The other guitar player in my band has used both a DSL 100 and DSL 40C. The H&K bested both of them. Buried in a mix? No way...

Worth $300? Absolutely! But whether it is your cup of tea or not is a different story. I owned one for a couple of months maybe 9 months after the came out. Used it for rehearsals and a gig or two. It needed volume to sound good but, it could be made to sound good. On board effects were a bonus.

It's absolutely worth it. It's not the best of their newer amps, but it is entirely usable, and cuts through a mix very easily.

The Clean and Lead channels are well worth $300. Add in the FX, and midi flexibility. The Crunch and Ultra channels are good as well. I still use my combo a lot. The head, not so much . The Grandmeister Deluxe is much better for my uses.

buddy had a Coreblade and was SO proud of it.

I had my 5150 there with a few mods on it, and he wasn't pleased.

he plugged his 5150 in and was like, oh, yeah! hahah not sure if he still has it, the built in effects were cool though, but the tone was meh, like those fender solid state dirt channels...too blurry and undefined sounding or something
mixing solid state and tube gear for sound ALWAYS ends up sounding fuckin weird to me though, all those odd/even order harmonics and weird phasing shit that comes in and out on notes.

no thanks get an orange lunchbox amp for 300
